Alan & Rosemary Courtright's Photo Albums
- Stavis Creek Property Home Construction:
This group of photos were taken by the architect, Grace Huang, at various stages of construction.
The home was built using Structural Insulated Panels, or SIPs, which were fabricated by sandwiching
a special foam core material between wood skins called Oriented Strand Board (OSB). Once the SIPs
were brought on-site, there were simply hoisted into place by a boom truck and secured. A scant crew of
Alan and SIP designer-builder Craig, along with the some help from Mitch
while he was in town, Chad, and the boom truck operator
Brian, the shell of the house went up in just a couple weeks.
